CORA BUCHAREST

  • by

Cora is a hypermarket chain from France that is also intensively developing in Romania. It has several locations in the capital city and apart from Bucharest, also in Cluj Napoca, Baia Mare, Arad and other cities. It has over a dozen shops in its regional network and is still developing. Last year, Cora Romania recorded a turnover of 1.37 billion and there is no indication that they will fall in the near future. This is a very open market, with provisions friendly to Polish entrepreneurs.

About 60 companies have moved from Poland to Romania from the Lubuskie Province alone. This is a perfect time to invest in real estate in this area and to take advantage of its huge potential. Thanks to EU funding, Polish investors can count on funding of up to 50%, and Poland has an additional strategic cooperation agreement with Romania. Polish companies that decide to launch investments in this country will also be able to use the assistance of the Chamber of Commerce and Romanian Center for Trade and Investment.

An important factor in favour of foreign investment, especially in the real estate sector, are numerous tax incentives. Entrepreneurs who decide to locate their operations there can count on accelerated cost depreciation. There is still a boom in the construction market, but it has not achieved such high prices of materials and labour as it is currently the case in the domestic market.
